Our 10 slide essay evening is an opportunity to tell any kind of a story in 10 images. There is no other brief. The result is an interesting variety. This year we had: 'How the fire brigade put out my chimney fire'; 'Supporting a free school in Tanzania'; 'How to successfully photograph a black dog'; 'The difficulties of photography in the Amazonian rain forest', 'Views from a highland cottage', 'Second time lucky on an Austrian mountain', 'From Street Art to Photoshop Art', 'Light and colour on Harris beaches', 'Scenes and seen on a club outing'. Not only does this activity provide an interesting photographic challenge, it also reveals something about our members' lives beyond the viewfinder.
