The Camera Club's potential as a place of learning was amply illustrated by the presentation and demonstration given by professional photographer Graham Dargie
. Graham described his development as a professional photographer and showed examples of his landscape, commercial and portrait photography. He followed this with a demonstration of the use of speedlights/flash in portraiture.
Club members Babs and Ron 'volunteered' to sit for him and Graham talked us through his approach to camera settings, flash positioning and preparing his subjects. Finally, some of the resulting images were viewed with Graham explaining further how they had been achieved.
This session was very well received by our members and we hope it won't be long before we can learn more from Graham.
More of Babs' and Ron's portraits can be seen on our Facebook Page
