Great work... getting this good-looking site up and running moray! I hope everyone signs up and contributes now.

For those that don't know I'm a web-developer who runs another local site - GrampianLife.co.uk. I've been in Alford for exactly 2years to within a day or two, and joined the Donside club midway through last season.

I've only got a wee digital compact but I use it a lot. I'm currently putting together a slideshow movie from photos submitted to the GrampianLife Forum. I've been impressed by David Pickford's audio-visual shows so thought I'd give it a go.

And merry Christmas all!

p.s. Anax is my web-handle that's stuck

It would be good to have a special place for this kind of apology - snowy weather and a broken car (GRRRR) are my reasons for not attending this evening. Shame, because I had some pics lined up for the Moving theme too.

I hope you are feeling better soon Russell.

For the benefit of those who didn't make it on Thursday (ie most members!!!) the Assignment Night will take place next Thursday so none of you will miss the chance of entering your pictures.

I've just had terrible flu this last week too. Hopefully the roads will be a bit better tomorrow...

Aye that's me... and a cow I photographed nearby.

I made my face semi-transparent on  a layer above the coo. Then I stretched it a bit so my eyes were close to the cows underneath. I remember I then cloned out the eyes some of the cow's features so they didn't show through my face. And then rubbed out, smudged and blurred the edges.

I'm wondering what to merge into next... maybe a sheep... or a haggis Wink
