Inter-Club Competition Rules

The club has two external competitions - a friendly exchange with Orkney Camera Club, and an inter-club competition with Deeside Photographic Society. The intention is to see works by others, and to have others assess our work in a friendly way.

Entries

Members are invited to submit any number of images. These may be slides, prints or digital files. Thirty will be selected for each competition.

Selections

Hand voting by the club, as on Assignment nights, will aim to present a varied and interesting set of pictures with titles.

Judging

For Orkney, members will select their favourite pictures from those received from Orkney and compile comments and observations.
For Deeside, an external judge will be appointed to mark each image out of twenty as per Monthly Competitions. The club with the most points wins the trophy.

Club Award

The member with the highest scoring image in an external competition is awarded the Burnside Trophy, donated by Barry Adams.
