About Donside Camera Club
In November 1981 a group of seventeen enthusiastic amateur photographers met in the Community Lounge of Alford Academy and brought into being the Donside Camera Club.
The Club has gone from strength to strength and has witnessed the many changes that have occurred in the photographic world over the years, particularly recently, as digital imaging has supplanted film.
Twenty nine years later, Donside Camera Club is still going strong. As well as organising a packed seasonal schedule of events comprising lectures, competitions and workshops, the Club also maintains a profile on the national circuit, achieving regular acceptances into the Scottish Photographic Federation annual portfolio.
The Club is always looking for new members, who are welcome to attend its meetings held at 7:30pm every Thursday in Alford Public Hall.
